Abigail was born on July 16, 1847, to Lorenzo and Harriet Amelia Snow. She was nine years old when her parents settled in Brigham City. Abigail had large brown eyes and waist-length curly hair which hung in ringlets.
When Abigail was 14 years old, she was selected leading lady in the newly organized Dramatic Association.
Abigail met Thomas Caldwell at a dance in Brigham City. He attracted the attention of the ladies because he was wearing clothes purchased at a store, unlike the other young men who had on “homespun” outfits. Thomas, who lived in Salt Lake City, was visiting his sister Agnes. Abigail and Thomas were married on Feb. 17, 1864.
The couple had twin boys on Feb. 5, 1866. When the boys were about 10 weeks old, their father died.
On April 5, 1868, Abigail married Morris David Rosenbaum. They had eight children. Morris passed away on Aug. 19, 1885. To support herself and family, Abigail took a course in dressmaking.
Abigail was active in the Mormon Church throughout her life. When the Box Elder Primary Stake Board was organized, she was sustained President. The Primary meetings were held at her home, and she would often roll up the carpet so the children could dance.
Died on May 9, 1914 in Brigham City, Utah
